Then, Chelsea lost in Turkey against Fenerbahçe 2-1. But this goal scored in Istanbul give us a big hope because Chelsea has just to win 1-0 in London to be qualify, which is very possible.

After the match against France, Fabio Capello said he was happy of his the England Team.

“I’m very happy. My team made a good match”.

Would Capello be too old to coach a national team? Or maybe his glasses were badly adapted…

What is sure is that we didn’t see the same match…

Wednesday was the return of the England Team before her eliminition of the Euro 2008.

This return took place in the “Stade de France” against the French Team.

Evrerybody hoped that England team would practice a better game than those they played last month. And everybody had many reasons to hope that : a new big coach, Fabio Capello, News young players.

But unfortunately, England team made a bad match and has been incapabale to worry the Frenche defense. And she lost logically 1-0 with a goal of Ribéry who made a last hommage for Thierry Gilardi.

Moreover, this match has shown a problem which has existed for many years : every English goals are bad!!! Indeed, David James did a very bad match and provoked the penalty with a stupid fault…

The only positive point is the 100th selection of David Beckham who deserved a better hommage than this sad match…

The fall of Derby County

Middlesbrough forward Tuncay Sanli’s first-half strike gave Gareth Southgate’s side all three points.

Sanli’s goal all but banished any lingering relegation fears for Middlesbrough.

The Turkish striker breezed across the Rams’ back-line in the 32nd minute before firing past Roy Carroll from the edge of the box to secure his sixth Premier League goal of the season.

It was a rare high point in a low-key encounter ravaged by a swirling wind and frequent blizzards, in which the home side wasted a number of good opportunities to put the match beyond doubt.

There won’t be any English clubs in quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup. It’s very pityfull because Tottenham or Everton may be able to qulaify them.

Indeed, tottenham made the performance of winning 1-0 in Eindhoven. As they had lost in London 1-0, the two teams made the terrible game of the penalties. And Tottenham lost…

It’s the same for Everton which lost too to the penalties against the Fiorentina after riding up their two goals of lateness from the match in Liverpool.

What a pity for these two clubs!!!

To finish, the mission was too hard for Bolton which had to win against the Sporting Portugal. They lost 1-0 and are eliminated too.

UEFA Cup will continue without English clubs… Big contrast with the Campions League where the four Englis clubs are qualified…
